There will be no Right turn from Gillette Way to Manor Farm Road from Monday 5th October 2026 until Friday 30th October 2026
Greenwave services will divert as follows
Customers are to use Morrison Bus stop and Whitley Park School bus stop while we have no access to Gillette Way during this time.
Customers Wanting to go towards Green Park Will need to be on the side of the road towards Reading in Kennet Island or use the Bus stop on the A33 as we will not be able to serve the normal stops.
Greenwave 50A towards Green Park will divert Via A33 into to Kennet Island along to Manor Farm Road, Basingstoke Road, the run full length of Rose Kiln Lane back onto the A33 to resume normal route
Towards Reading Greenwave 50a will divert via Basingstoke Road , Rose Kiln Lane to resume normal route on the A33.

Increased capacity on Aqua 28 from 28th September
Following increased demand on aqua 28 to and from Henley College, we are increasing capacity on the service for the busiest journeys.
Additional buses
On Monday to Thursday mornings, we will be running an additional bus alongside the usual 7.50am departure from Friar Street, Central Reading, running around 5 minutes after the usual scheduled bus.
On Monday to Friday afternoons, there will be an additional bus alongside the usual 4.30pm departure from Hart Street, Henley. This bus will run at the same time as the usually scheduled bus.
These additional buses will be double-deck buses to help provide extra capacity.
Friday buses
On Fridays mornings, the 9.20am departure from Friar Street, Central Reading will be swapped from a single deck bus to a higher capacity double deck bus. There will be no additional bus in the mornings on Fridays.

UPDATE
Barkham Road will re open from 7am on Friday 16th October 2026 for the Leopard 3 to revert to normal line of route.
The shuttle bus will stop running end of day Thursday 15th October 2026.
We will have 2 leopard 3 journeys in the morning of Friday 16th October that will still need to do the below diversion due to temporary light positions.
5:40 leopard 3 from Reading will follow the below diversion
5:57 leopard 3 from Wokingham will follow the below diversion.
All journeys after the above 2 will follow normal line of route, all stops along Finchampstead Road will not be served after 7am Friday 16th October 2026.
Barkham Road will be closed between The Bull and Bearwood Road from Monday 14 September until Friday 16th October at 7am 2026 for essential works by Thames Water.
During this time, leopard 3 will have to take a significantly amended route through Finchampstead and Barkham serving Finchampstead Road instead of Barkham Road.
leopard 3 will be unable to serve the stops on Nine Mile Ride at Robinson Crusoe, Coleshill Farm, California Country Park, Manor Park Drive, California Crossroads, and Ratepayers Hall. The nearest stops will be Marino Way or Barkham Ride.
leopard 3 will also be unable serve the stops at Bearwood Road, Lower Doles Hill, Doles Farm, Smalley Close, Ye Olde Leathern Bottel, and Wheeler Close, but a shuttle bus will be providing a replacement service from these stops to Wokingham between 0630 and 1830 Mondays – Fridays. The nearest stops on the main leopard 3 will be Molly Millars Lane, The Bull (towards Reading) and Park Lane (towards Wokingham).

Closure of The Northumberland Avenue towards Reading

Northumberland Avenue towards Reading and Buckland Road circle Roundabout at the junction of long barn Lane will be closed from Friday 11th September 2026 until further notice.
This is due to Thames Water Works
Customers wanting Buckland Road Circle bus stop inbound towards Reading will need to use Whitley Community Centre or Corbridge Road stops.
Emerald 5 Towards Northumberland Avenue Terminus will follow normal line of route
Emerald 5 towards reading will divert via Long Barn Lane, Canterbury Road to resume normal line of route from Hexham Road.
Buzz 9 towards Green park will divert via Buckland Road, Basingstoke Road, Long Barn Lane then onto Northumberland Avenue.
Buzz 9 towards Reading will divert via Long Barn Lane, Basingstoke Road, Buckland Road then onto Cressingham Road to resume normal route.

lime 2, 2a is affected by a road closure on Padworth Road for roadworks. This is affecting the route between Burghfield and Tadley AWE. Buses are diverting via Reading Road, Victoria Road, Stephens Road, West End Road & Welshmans Road in both directions. Stops between 'Three Firs Way' and 'Easter Park' will not be served in either direction. There are delays of up to 10 minutes. We apologise for the disruption to your journey. During the Changing of the Guard, Sheet Street and High Street is closed to traffic.
During these times, London Line 702 & Flightline 703 will divert via Alma Road and Arthur Road and will be unable to serve stops along Frances Road and Windsor High Street. This usually occurs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays between 10:30 and 11:25.
If you are travelling during these times, please use the nearby alternative stops on Charles Street (located just off the junctions of Goswell Road and Victoria Street).

Northumberland Avenue will be closed between Christchurch Gardens and Newcastle Road from Monday 19 October until Friday 30 October 2026 due to utility works.
During the closure, Emerald 5 will not be able to serve the Christchurch Court and Warwick Road bus stops. Customers who normally use Christchurch Court should use the Christchurch Gardens stops on Basingstoke Road instead.
Diverted route
Towards Northumberland Avenue Terminus: Emerald 5 will divert via Basingstoke Road, Long Barn Lane and Canterbury Road, then re-join its normal route at the Newcastle Road bus stop.
Towards Reading Town Centre: Emerald 5 will divert via Canterbury Road, Long Barn Lane and Basingstoke Road, then re-join its normal route at the Christchurch Gardens traffic lights.
School bus 91 towards Reading Girls will divert via Basingstoke Road, Long Barn Lane and Canterbury Road, then turn right onto Northumberland avenue to Drop of at Canterbury Road Bus Stop.

This closure is for works by Reading Borough Council
Buses will divert via London Road observing the bus stop just before Blenheim Road. Then continue ahead and turn right on to Sidmouth Street. Right Queens Road and left on to Watlington Street gyratory to re-join normal route Kings Road to Reading Town Centre.
Buses will be unable to serve stops on Kings Road at Cemetery Junction, Reading College and Eldon Road.
