Nine Mile Ride closure

On Thursday 10 June, Nine Mile Ride will be closed at the junction of Park Lane meaning leopard 3 buses to/from Wokingham will be on diversion. This is due to construction works by Balfour Beatty and is expected to last a minimum of 8-10 weeks. 

Journeys between Reading and Arborfield Green will not be affected. There is an outline below of the diversion in each direction - timetables are available on the leopard 3 service page now and PDFs will be available shortly.

Due to the diversion, buses will not use the Hogwood Lane Industrial Estate, Robinson Crusoe, Coleshill Farm, California Country Park, Manor Park Drive, California Crossroads Petrol Station and Ratepayers Hall Bus stops. The closest bus stops to the section that buses are unable to use are either Biggs Lane or Barkham Ride East.

From Reading to Wokingham

Buses will follow the normal route to Sheerlands Road bus stop. They will divert using Langley Common Road before running down Barkham Ride to U-turn at the roundabout and follow normal route to Wokingham.

From Wokingham to Reading

Buses will follow the normal route to Barkham Ride. They will then U-turn at the roundabout and return along Barkham Ride and divert along Langley Common Road to get to Sheerlands Road bus stop. They will then continue to use the normal route to Reading.

Buses terminating at and starting from Sheerlands Road and the morning journey to Bohunt School are not affected and will follow normal route.

School Service 93

This service will be diverted along the same route as the leopard 3, using Langley Common Road to/from Bohunt School.
