We are shortlisted for the UKBA

Today Thu 29th Oct 2026

We are delighted to be in the running for four awards at the UK Bus Awards in November.

The shortlists were announced at the Zero2 Bus Museum in Essex and we were informed that we were finalists in four categories.

Operations Manager Richard Moxom has been shortlised as Manager of the Year for his work not only helping to streamline operations and improving punctuality and attendance through empowering his team, but also for leading various initiatives such as the campaign with Thames Valley Police to help people report anti-social behaviour on buses.

Speaking of the work with Thames Valley Police, we were also shortlisted for the ROSCO Award for Safety. This was in part due to the work with the police to help tackle anti-social behaviour and reduce violence against women and girls, but also thanks to an internal Accident Reduction Campaign designed to 'drive down accidents'. The campaign was not just about being responsible for your own driving, but being aware of others on the road.

There was a welcome shortlisting for our Roadside Publicity Officer, Paul Glanville, who works tirelessly to keep our network looking amazing. He helps to ensure we provide clear, concise information for customers and that everything is in our wonderful colour scheme. As he is busy in the background, it will come as no surprise that he is in the Unsung Hero category!

And last, but by no means least, we are once again hoping to clinch Top Shire Operator. This puts us in a very strong category with other operators of similar size or operational areas and, if we win this, we get the chance to be crowned Bus Operator of the Year against the winners of the other main categories.

We will all be keeping our fingers crossed for some big wins!
