We’re Top Shire Operator!

We are thrilled to announce that we won the Top Shire Operator award at the UK Bus Awards, considered the most prestigious awards event for bus companies in the UK. 

Taking place on Tuesday 26 November at Troxy, near Canary Wharf in London; the UK Bus Awards saw us awarded Top Shire Operator as well as receiving a bronze award in the Partnership for Excellence category for our partnership with Heathrow Airport and our Flightline 703 and 730 / 731 routes, as well as reaching the finalist stage in the Recruitment and Retention category. 

The Top Shire Award was awarded to us based on the quality of service we offer our customers, the investment in our existing and new services as well as our commitment to making bus travel the transport mode of choice in Reading and beyond. 

The award recognises the amazing work that we and our employees have done to build back up since Covid, the new buses we have introduced to the town and local area, and our work to increase frequencies on routes to help match increased demand. 

It also recognises the work we have done with our owner, Reading Borough Council, to help improve bus priority in the town, the introduction of great value lower priced day tickets for Reading and launching tap on tap off. 

We faced tough competitors in this category this year with Go South Coast, Brighton & Hove and Warrington’s Own Buses being shortlisted for the award alongside us.

Faced with such strong competition, we were thrilled when it was revealed that we had won the award.
