Walking aqua 28 to raise funds for Berkshire Youth

As you will all know by now, our charity of the year for 2025 is Berkshire Youth.

Throughout the year we’ve helped raise money for the charity in various ways, including at our record-breaking Charity Open Day back in June!

Hot on the heels of our finance and IT teams highly successful walk of the purple 17 route back in September 2024, our Academy Team are planning to walk the length of the aqua 28 route from Reading all the way to Henley raising funds for the charity on Saturday 30 August. 

Their fundraising target is £1500, with funds helping Berkshire Youth provide safe spaces for young people, mental health support and mentoring, outdoor activities and leadership programs and support for young carers. 

Ahead of the walk, our Academy teams are looking to raise funds via their Just Giving page as well as hoping to raise further funds along the walk by shaking buckets. 

As parts of the aqua 28 route have no pavements or footpaths, the team will be following the path along the River Thames, which our aqua 28 route is named after and follows. 

If you spot the team on the day, be sure to give them a cheer to help support them as they walk past – as well as dropping money in their bucket of course!
