timetable enhancements and changes from January 6

1 month ago Mon 16th Dec 2024

On Monday 6 January we’ll be making changes to the timetables of some of our services. Many of these are minor changes to help improve timekeeping and reliability, but the exciting news is that we are also increasing frequency of lion 4 up to every 15 minutes. Some school services are also changing.

As well as timetable changes, we are also renumbering the lion X4 route to lion 4a and introducing aqua 28a for services which run via Binfield Heath. There are no changes to the actual route on these journeys.

increased frequency on lion

We’re making big improvements to the lion route on Monday 6 January with the introduction of a brand-new timetable that’ll see an increased frequency of up to every 15 minutes during the day on Monday to Saturdays. Sunday services will remain at every 30 minutes with minor changes to the timetable to help improve reliability.

Lion X4 is also being renumbered to 4a so that they appear together on route listings when sorted by number; however there will be no changes to the route or stops served.

The majority of the additional journeys will be on the 4a route via the Western Business area, with both the 4 and 4a now running every 30 minutes during the day, combining to run every 15 minutes beyond Bracknell through to Wokingham, Winnersh, and Reading.

timetable changes

We’re also making changes to several of our other routes too. On buzz 18 there will be small changes on Monday to Fridays to better suit River Academy.

There will also be minor changes to the timetable for aqua 28 to help with reliability, as well an enhanced Sunday service. Journeys that run via Binfield Heath will be renumbered to aqua 28a, with no changes to the route or stops served.

We are also making changes to the azure 43 and school route 93 timetable, which will see departure time changes to help with punctuality.

There will be slight changes to times on The London Line 701/702, with more buses serving Legoland Main Entrance.

We are also making changes to the timetable of ruby 10 in the late evening and very early mornings to better reflect usage.

changes to school services

We’re also making changes to some of our school day services.

Route 91 will no longer run via Whitley Street, and instead will run via the A33 to provide a more direct route to/from Oxford Road and reduce overcrowding in the afternoons. School children needing stops towards Whitley Street will be able to use our emerald 5 service.

We are also making changes to the services to Chiltern Edge School following a fall in usage this year. Route 92 is being replaced by a minor rerouting of school routes 82, 83 and 84. This will continue to provide a service towards Chiltern Edge at slightly amended times.

Route by route details of all our changes can be found below with full timetables available on our app and to download soon.
