school buses returning Mon 8 Mar

2 months ago Tue 23rd Feb 2021

As the nation begins to see a tiny sliver of light at the end of the long Coronavirus tunnel, we can start to plan around what buses are needed to take you all where you need to go! The first part of the Government's roadmap is that schools will be reopened on Monday 8 March. This, of course, means that we will need to provide buses to take students to and from school.

We are currently contacting schools to ensure that we can provide the correct service - so full timetables will be available soon, however, we can share the basic, overall, plan.

From Monday 8 March, we are expecting to reinstate all buses for schools - this means that buses numbered 81-93 and buses numbered in the 900 series should all return. If there are any tweaks needed to the timetables based on information received from the schools, we will let you know, but we expect buses to return largely the same as they were before the latest lockdown.

purple 17 and other services

Purple 17 will revert back to its September timetable, returning to up to every 7 minutes from the current up to every 8 minutes. Most people will see no difference, but you now won't have to wait the extra minute!

Other services will not be affected, other than we expect to return timetables to their 'schooldays only' variants if they have them.
