We’re excited to announce that throughout the summer, we’ll be running some fantastic offers that can help you save money when travelling by bus this summer!
cheaper group ticket in Reading
From Monday 28 July until Sunday 31 August, we’ll be reducing the price of our simplyReading off-peak group ticket from £8 to £6.
Our simplyReading off-peak group ticket offers all-day travel in the simplyReading zone after 9.30am Monday to Friday, all-day weekends and on public holidays for any combination of up to 4 people.
This ticket is only available on the bus from the driver and can be bought using cash or contactless.
Our peak simplyReading group ticket and simplyNetwork group tickets will remain at their current price.
Wokingham area under-19 tickets
From Friday 1 August until Sunday 31 August, customers aged 18 or under will be able to travel for just £1 one way or return for £2 from any stop inside the Wokingham Borough council area.
To take advantage of this offer, simply board a bus at any stop in the Wokingham Borough area and ask the driver for a Wokingham Young Persons ticket.
Single and return tickets can be bought at any stop within Wokingham Borough and used to travel to any stop on the route. They cannot be bought at any stop outside of this area – so if you want to return at the offer price, make sure you ask for a return!
If you have bought a return ticket, you can return as normal from the stop you got off at, including those outside of Wokingham Borough council area (eg. Reading Station), so long as the bus you board serves the Wokingham Borough council area - please note, if you try and use the ticket on any other service, it will not work on the ticket machine and you will have to pay for a fare on that bus if you want to travel.
Buses that serve the Wokingham area include leopard 3, lion 4/4a, buzz 9/9a, orange 13/14, little oranges 19a/b/c, claret 21, Hospital park&ride 300, Winnersh park&ride 500 and Mereoak park&ride 600/650. Tickets are not valid on Football buses.
This ticket is only available on the bus from the driver and can be bought using cash or contactless.
This offer has been funded by Wokingham council thanks to bus service improvement plan (BSIP) funding made available by the UK Government.
Caversham short-hop single fare
