Reading FC's next friendly

Reading FC will be looking to lay down a marker before the season starts as they welcome Crystal Palace to the Select Car Leasing Stadium for a pre-season friendly on Saturday 31 July at 3pm.

Capacity for the match is limited to 6000 which should still give a great atmosphere to cheer on the home side against their Premier League opponents.

Buses to the game

Due to the limited capacity, we will not be operating the normal urban services to the match, but we will be running the F1 shuttle from Reading town centre and the F2 and F3 park & ride services from Shinfield Park and Mereoak. You can connect to the F1 in the town centre from any of the buses in our network.

F1 Reading town centre to the stadium

The F1 shuttle will run from around 1pm from Station Hill stop WS, running at regular intervals, with the last bus leaving for the stadium at 2.40pm.

Returning from the stadium, buses will run from the final whistle at regular intervals with the last bus leaving the stadium around 5.40pm.

F2 Shinfield Park to the stadium

The F2 shuttle will run from around 1pm from the bus stop at Shinfield Park by Wood PLC at regular intervals with the last bus leaving for the stadium at 2.45pm.

Returning from the stadium, buses will run from ten minutes after the final whistle at regular intervals with the last bus leaving the stadium at 5.47pm. 

New F3 Mereoak park & ride to the stadium

The F3 shuttle now replaces the old greenwave 60f that used to be diverted on matchdays. This new service is entirely dedicated to the football meaning it is even easier to use to park and ride to the match and does not affect the running of the Mereoak park & ride service to the town.

The F3 shuttle will run from 1pm at regular intervals with the last bus for the stadium leaving at 2.45pm.

Returning from the stadium, buses will run from the final whistle at regular intervals with the last bus leaving at 5.44pm.

Concessionary passes are not valid on football buses - pass holders can buy a return for £1.50 on production of a valid concessionary pass.
