more buses for leopard 3!

Starting Monday 19 May, we’ll be introducing an enhanced leopard 3 timetable to Wokingham. This will double the frequency between Reading, Arborfield and Wokingham Monday to Saturdays, and include a new hourly evening and Sunday service to Wokingham.

There will also be a new evening service on buzz 9 to Whitley Wood.

Mondays to Fridays, buses will run to Wokingham up to every 30 minutes between 6.30am and 7pm, and on Saturdays between 8am and 6pm. 

Monday-Saturday evenings, buses will run every 60 minutes to Wokingham until around 11pm. The current evening journeys that only run as far as the Royal Berkshire Hospital will be replaced by additional journeys on buzz 9 to Whitley Wood, doubling the evening frequency along Shinfield Road to every 30 minutes.

The Sunday timetable on leopard 3 is also being improved, with buses now running to Wokingham hourly between 8.30am and 8pm. 

Thames Valley Science Park will now be served by buses that run to and from Wokingham on Monday to Fridays, providing a new direct link. 

There will continue to be additional buses providing buses up to every 15 minutes between Reading, Royal Berkshire Hospital and Shinfield, as now, but with some minor amendments to accommodate the additional extensions to Wokingham.

The daytime enhancements have been made possible thanks to funding from new housing developments. The evening and Sunday enhancements have been made possible thanks to HM Government funding for the Bus Service Improvement Plans that we have developed with Wokingham Borough Council and Reading Borough Council.
