spring bank holiday things to do

5 months ago Wed 1st May 2019

Celebrate your long weekend with the hive of activities in and around Reading this late May bank holiday! There are many activities that are taking place, but to set you off, here are just two suggestions...

MERL
The Museum of English Rural Life allows you to explore how the skills and experiences of farmers and craftspeople, past and present, can help shape our lives. They offer some wonderful interactive games that are fun to play for all ages, and for those who wish to learn more, the museum also creates displays and activities that engage with important debates about the future of food and our countryside. This is a true hidden gem and well worth a visit! Families can cheaply travel for just £6 for up to four people off-peak!

Red Sky Festival
This years Red Sky Festival will take place on 25th & 26th May on Padworth Lane, West Berkshire, and is set to be as good as ever! The two day music festival has a full line up with a silent disco, funfair and a great range of food and beer. Kick back, relax and enjoy and cracking weekend packed with entertainment. Travelling bus bus is always a great way to travel in Reading, and it will save you the hassle of parking! Find your route here
