Introducing the Royal Berks Charity bus!

Recently we announced that we were excited to be continuing our partnership with the Royal Berks Charity for a second year, with them staying on as our charity of the year for 2024.
In an event outside the Royal Berkshire Hospital on 17 January, we were able to share with the staff of the charity, as well as workers of the NHS, the total sum that we raised for them in 2023 as well as unveiling a charity branded bus to mark the second year of the partnership.

To help mark our continued support for them in 2024, we have launched our special Royal Berks Charity branded bus.
This Royal Berks Charity branded bus shows our continued support for the charity, as well as our commitment to helping raise funds and awareness for them through the year.
The eye-catching branded charity bus will be found operating on routes across Reading, Bracknell and Newbury; helping raise awareness of the charity’s work and how they help support both patients and staff.
As part of the design there is also a text to donate scheme where you can help support the charity by texting 5BUS to 70085 to donate £5.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the bus when travelling around Reading and our network!
A huge total raised
As part of the event outside the Royal Berkshire hospital we were able to present the charity with a cheque for the sum of our funds raised in 2023 – a massive £11,739!
This sum includes money raised from a wide range of events that took place amongst our staff including bake sales, foreign currency collections, charity raffles and Christmas jumper days.
It also includes the funds raised at our massively successful 2023 Reading Buses Open Day too. In 2023 once again we opened our doors to a huge number of people who got the chance to see just what happens behind the scenes at our depot. We’ll be announcing our open day for 2024 soon, so keep checking back!
