Increased service from 12 April
Now that the Government has confirmed that the next phase of the roadmap is going ahead as planned on Monday 12 April, we can confirm that our service levels will largely return to normal.
Green Line 702 and Winnersh Triangle park & ride to return
Before the latest lockdown customer numbers rose to around 40-45% of normal and with non-essential retail shops reopening and restaurants and pubs allowed to serve people outdoors, it gives people more of a reason to get out and about again so we are expecting a similar uplift.
To help make sure we have enough capacity to allow for the one-metre plus social distancing on board, we are reinstating the services which were previously suspended – so Green Line 702 and Winnersh Triangle park & ride will resume from 12 April.
South Reading services return to normal
We are also reverting our South Reading services back to normal so ruby 10, greenwave 50 and Mereoak park & ride will return to their normal Monday to Friday timetables as they are currently running to their Saturday times during the week.
We are also putting the leopard timetables back to their full levels – giving customers three buses an hour to Arborfield and three buses an hour to Spencers Wood.
The evening journeys on the tiger 7 will also be reinstated.
keeping you safe, keeping you connected
We know that there will be many customers returning for the first time since the start of the pandemic, and we can reassure you that we have lots of measures in place to keep everyone safe, including an enhanced cleaning regime, free hand sanitiser on all buses, capacity capped at 50%, plus many more.
Remember as well that face coverings must be worn for the duration of your journey, and that paying contactlessly using our app, a smartcard or bank card is preferred.
