Closure of St Mary's Butts in Reading

To allow for repairs to be carried out on the cobbled area outside Metro Bank, St Mary’s Butts and our bus stops there will be closed from Monday 24 July reopening on Monday 7 August.
As the entire junction between St Mary’s Butts, West Street and Oxford Road will be closed, these roadworks will affect all routes that normally run through St Mary's Butts and Cheapside. Please refer to the table below to find out how your journey may be affected:

Towards Reading Buses will follow their normal route until Waylen Street and will then divert via Eaton Place, Chatham Street returning to their normal route in Friar Street. They will be unable to serve Cheapside (stop CV). From Reading From Blagrave Street, buses will run via Valpy Street, Market Place and into Minster Street stopping additionally at Minster Street (stop MP), then crossing onto Castle Street and resuming their normal route. They will be unable to serve Friar Street (stop FP) and St Mary's Butts (stop CA). |
