Calling all Reading Uni students

4 months ago Tue 17th Sep 2019

We provide a bus service like no other. Whether it’s a night out, group outing, or travel to lectures, our buses are the go to, cheaper, safer, option.

Night out?

Our claret 21 and purple 17 buses are 24/7 so you can stay out as long as you like without having to worry about catching the last bus home. You can even track your bus on our app so you can time things perfectly. Find out more.

Group outing?

Why struggle up the hill from town when our group tickets are just £6 for a whole days travel for up to 4 people! This also works out as the cheapest option for a night out too!

Peace of mind

With the summer coming to an end and nights drawing in, give your mum and mates peace of mind. Our claret buses frequently run straight from town into the heart of campus, so they can rest easy. Our buses are also all fitted with free superfast wifi so you can let them know without eating into your data.

Which bus do I get?

Find out which routes you need here.

Worried about which stop to get off at?

Our buses are all fitted with display screens and next stop announcements so you know which stop is next.
As well as the uni and station, a couple of handy stops are:
St Marys Butts – if you want to go to the town centre (the stop after Minster Street).
Crown Place Passage – hop out at this stop for your lectures on London Road or if you need to go to Kendrick Halls.

We know as a student money is tight, which is why we have our Boost fares. All you need to do is show the driver your student campus card, ask for a Boost fare and get up to 1/3 off your travel! Find out more about this and our great value group tickets here.

Everything you need to in the palm of your hand!

Our app gives you everything you need to travel with us in the palm of your hand. Track your bus to see where it is, buy and download your tickets, check timetables, and plan your journey. Simply search for the Reading Buses app on apple, download and you’re away!
