Reading Cultural Award 2018 winners

We’re delighted, and overwhelmed, to announce that we’ve won the "Business Champion of the Arts" award at the Reading Cultural Awards on June 27.

We were acknowledged for having a ‘rich history of engagement and support for arts in the community’ - still rare in the bus industry.

After supporting great initiatives in the town such as Light Up Reading and The Reading Fringe, we then branched out partnering with Reading Rep Theatre and John Madejski Academy (JMA) to support groups dedicated to the arts.

In the past year, we’ve pushed boundaries to support the arts in Reading. With an art gallery on a moving bus, partnerships with the Arts & Heritage Forum, supporting arts events, partnering with the Museum of English Rural Life (The MERL), Reading Museum and John Madejski Academy – we’ve helped make a real difference to the arts.

And there’s more to come!

We’re still going to put ourselves forward to help support the arts in Reading. It’s key that we maintain the relationship between business and art – and that we encourage not only more businesses to step up, but that also we use our position in the town to promote events and encourage more residents to enjoy the culture of Reading.
