Timetable changes from Monday 1 June
From Monday 1 June we’ll be making changes and improvements to the timetables on some of our routes.
As part of these changes, we are also introducing an additional stop on our hospital park&ride 300 service at Whitley Park School.
timetable changes
We’ll be making changes to the departure times on emerald 5 and emerald 6/6a, orange 13/14 and on weekday mornings to berry 23/24. These changes are to help improve reliability on these routes.
We’ll also be making changes to the timetable of claret 21, aligning with the winding down of the University academic year. These changes will see the Monday to Saturday frequency change to up to every 20 minutes.
new hospital connection for Whitley
From Monday 1 June, we’ll be adding a stop to hospital park&ride 300 at Whitley Park School, providing a new, fast and convenient way to travel between Kennet Island, Circle Hospital, Whitley and the Royal Berkshire Hospital without needing to travel via Central Reading.
Full details of these changes and timetables can be found below, with our website and mobile app being updated shortly.

change to park & ride promotional fare
The special park and ride return fare will increase to £4 from the current fare of £3.50 from 1 June. This is due to changes to the funding for this discounted fare from Reading Borough Council using money from the Bus Service Improvement Partnership (BSIP) funding from HM Government. No other fares are being increased despite recent rises in fuel prices.
