new single fares from 1 January

1 month ago Fri 20th Dec 2024

As you have all no doubt heard, there is a change to the national single fare cap from 1 January as it increases from £2 to £3. The great news is that we are splitting the difference on the single fare within Reading, with the maximum adult single fare being £2.60 when paying on bus and just £2.50 on our app. No other fares will be changing, and we’ll still have plenty of tickets that allow you to travel for less than £2 per journey!

No other fares will change – the Reading All-Bus day ticket stays at £4.00 for unlimited journeys using tap on tap off, or when buying on the app, and £4.50 when bought from the driver. Short hop fares are currently less than £2 and are also unchanged.
