Travel sustainably this Earth Day!

3 years ago Wed 19th Apr 2023

Taking place on Saturday 22 April, Earth Day is an annual event dedicated to helping increase awareness towards the earth’s sustainable environment.

One of the easiest ways to make an impact for the environment is to consider leaving the car at home and taking the bus instead.

With our new £3.40 Reading All-Bus day ticket, as well as our network-wide £2 single fares (until the end of June); now has never been a better time to take the bus!

Our fleet of modern buses includes 60 biogas vehicles, which run on bio-methane, produced sustainably from food and animal waste. These, along with our Euro 5 and Euro 6 rated buses mean that when you choose to travel with us, you are choosing a more environmentally friendly way to travel.

And with some of our double-deck buses seating over 80 passengers too, a full double decker bus has the potential to take up to large number cars off the road – over 2km worth - helping both the local environment and helping reduce congestion on the roads.

Being green doesn’t mean giving up on creature comforts though - our buses are fitted with super-fast Wi-Fi, have comfortable seats and offer generous legroom. Many of our vehicles also feature tables, USB charging and some even have sofas!

So why not give the bus a try this Earth Day!
