Congestion on Gosbrook Road due to roadworks. Delays on the berry 23, 24, aqua 28, 28a, little berry 29 & 29a
Due to a road closure on George Street causing congestion on Gosbrook Road, delays are affecting the following routes:
• little berry 29 & little berry 29a towards Lower Caversham & Central Reading are running up to 15 minutes late.
• berry 23 towards Caversham Park Village & Central Reading is running up to 20 minutes late.
• berry 24 towards Emmer Green & Central Reading is running up to 20 minutes late.
• aqua 28 & aqua 28a towards Henley-on-Thames & Central Reading are running up to 20 minutes late.
Please check the destination of your bus before travelling, as some journeys may terminate earlier than expected. Please note that some short-notice cancellations may occur. We are very sorry for the disruption to your journey today and thank you for your patience.
Closure of George Street between Gosbrook Road and Queens Road
The section of George Street between Gosbrook Road and Queens Road will be closed on Wednesday 19th August and Thursday 20th August 2026. Between 08:00-17:00 each day.
This is for resurfacing work by Reading Borough Council.
Customers needing Caversham Laundry will need to use Elizabeth house and Westfield Road bus stops
• pink 25 towards Peppard Common & Central Reading will divert via Vastern Road, Caversham Bridge, Church Street & Prospect Street, serving all stops along the diversion.
• pink 25a towards Sonning Common will divert via Vastern Road, Caversham Bridge, Church Street & Prospect Street, serving all stops along the diversion.
• aqua 28 & aqua 28a towards Henley-on-Thames & Central Reading will divert via Vastern Road, Caversham Bridge, Church Street, Prospect Street & Henley Road, serving all stops along the diversion.
• little berry 29 towards Lower Caversham & Central Reading towards Amersham Road will need to divert via Vastern Road, Caversham Bridge, Church Street along Gosbrook Road to resume normal line of route from Washington Road bus stop.Little Berry 29 towards Town Centre will follow Little Berry 29a route back into Reading.
