Heavy traffic on Bath Road (Reading) due to emergency roadworks. Delays on the jet black 1, lime 2, 2a & yellow 26
Due to heavy traffic on Bath Road (Reading) between Berkeley Avenue and Southcote Lane caused by emergency roadworks, delays of up to 35-40 minutes are affecting the following routes:
• jet black 1 towards Newbury & Central Reading
• lime 2 & 2a towards Mortimer & Central Reading
• yellow 26 towards Calcot - IKEA & Central Reading
• school bus 87 towards Little Heath School & Central Reading
• school bus 90 towards Theale Green School & Central Reading
Please check the destination of your bus before travelling, as some journeys may terminate earlier than expected. Please note that some short-notice cancellations may occur. We are very sorry for the disruption to your journey today and thank you for your patience.
Closure of Bath Road between Brunswick Street and Lima Court.
Closure of Bath Road between Benyon Court and Harrow Court from Wednesday 23rd September until Friday 25th September 2026.
This is due to resurfacing.
All stops along the diversion will be observed.
During this time Jet Black 1, Lime 2,2a, Yellow 26 and school bus 87/,90 will not serve any stops between Brunswick Street and Lima Court on Bath Road.
Jet Black 1 and Lime 2,2a will divert via Tilehurst Road and Liebenrood Road in both directions to resume normal line of route from Circuit Lane bus stop on Bath Road.
Jet Black 1 and Lime 2,2a will divert towards Reading via Liebenrood Road , Tilehurst Road then into Russell Street to resume normal line of route.
Yellow 26 and School bus 87, 90 will divert as follows via Tilehurst Road, left onto Liebenrood Road, right onto Bath Road, left onto Circuit Lane and then right onto Southcote Lane to resume normal line of route from Southcote Road bus stop.
Yellow 26 and School bus 87, 90 towards Reading will divert after serving Coronation Square via Circuit Lane, Bath Road, Liebenrood Road and Tilehurst Road to resume normal line of route from Russell Street bus stop on Russell Street.
During these times, there will be a free shuttle operating between Circuit Lane and Southcote Lane to connect with the yellow 26 and school buses 87 & 90 at Coronation Square. If you wish to board this bus, please wait at stops towards Reading town centre.
