Suspension of Caversham fire station OUTBOUND bus stop
The Caversham Road fire station bus stop outbound will be out of use from Sunday 20th September 2026 until Wednesday 23rd September 2026
This is due to works by Thames Water
Customers are advised to use stops at Swansea Road or Friar Street.

Closure of The Northumberland Avenue INBOUND LANE only lane towards Reading and Buckland Road circle Roundabout at the junction of long barn Lane
The Northumberland Avenue INBOUND LANE only lane towards Reading and Buckland Road circle Roundabout at the junction of long barn Lane will be closed from Friday 11th September 2026 until further notice.
This is due to Thames Water Works
Customers wanting to use Buckland Road Circle bus stop inbound towards Reading will need to use Whitley Community Centre or Corbridge Road stops. Due to the surrounding roads being full of cars we will not be able to out any temp stops out.
Emerald 5 Towards Northumberland Avenue Terminus will follow normal line of route
Emerald 5 towards reading will divert via Long Barn Lane, Canterbury Road to resume normal line of route from Hexham Road.
Buzz 9 towards Green park will divert via Buckland Road, Basingstoke Road, Long Barn Lane then onto Northumberland Avenue.
Buzz 9 towards Reading will divert via Long Barn Lane, Basingstoke Road, Buckland Road then onto Cressingham Road to resume normal route.

Closure of Barkham Road between Bearwood Road and Molly Millars Lane
Barkham Road will be closed between The Bull and Bearwood Road from Monday 14 September until Friday 13 November 2026 for essential works by Thames Water.
During this time, leopard 3 will have to take a significantly amended route through Finchampstead and Barkham serving Finchampstead Road instead of Barkham Road.
leopard 3 will be unable to serve the stops on Nine Mile Ride at Robinson Crusoe, Coleshill Farm, California Country Park, Manor Park Drive, California Crossroads, and Ratepayers Hall. The nearest stops will be Marino Way or Barkham Ride.
leopard 3 will also be unable serve the stops at Bearwood Road, Lower Doles Hill, Doles Farm, Smalley Close, Ye Olde Leathern Bottel, and Wheeler Close, but a shuttle bus will be providing a replacement service from these stops to Wokingham between 0630 and 1830 Mondays – Fridays. The nearest stops on the main leopard 3 will be Molly Millars Lane, The Bull (towards Reading) and Park Lane (towards Wokingham).
