show your stripes
You will, by now, have seen one of our bio methane powered single deck buses running around the town in its new design - the Berkshire climate stripes.
For several months we have been working closely with the University of Reading to wrap one of our most environmentally friendly buses with the 'warming stripes which were created by the University's own Professor Ed Hawkins, a world-leading climate scientist.
The ‘warming stripes’ are a means of visually communicating rising temperatures and the threat of global warming for all of our futures and have already been displayed nationally and internationally.
We were delighted to partner with the University to provide a hugely noticeable advert for the effect of climate change as it carries passengers around the town.
Of course, the great thing about the design being on one of our buses is that it also helps to highlight the environmental benefits of travelling by bus. Using public transport is one of the easiest ways that anyone can help to cut emissions - as well as the benefit of removing traffic which then allows the buses to run better!
We have even worked with our suppliers to ensure that the vinyl can be recycled to keep the carbon impact of this project as low as possible for as long as possible.
We hope you enjoy seeing the bus around!
