  • Valpy Street Closure Reading Town Centre

    Valpy Street in Reading will be closed to all traffic from Saturday 1 July 2023 until Saturday 8 July 2023

    This is to enable Reading Borough Council to carry out carriageway repairs.

    Buses travelling from the Station area to Market Place will continue along Forbury Road and turn right on to the slip road to The Forbury. The one-way restriction on this slip road will be reversed during this period.

    Customers for services normally using stop EO in Blagrave Street (4/X4, 11, 17) are advised to use the bus stop EL outside Apex Plaza.

    Customers on the Route 42 from Kenavon Drive not alighting at Reading Station please be aware this service will continue ahead and U-turn at the monument outside Thames Tower and follow above diversion to St Marys butts.
