Concessions

If you are of an age where you are eligible for a state pension (currently 65 for women) then you should be eligible for a concessionary bus pass which allows free travel around the country. Each local authority issues passes for their residents so if you think that you are eligible please contact your local authority directly. The eligibility of concessionary passes is tied to the state pension age for women. For more information on the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) please click here to be taken to the Government website.

Please note, travel using your bus pass is limited nationally to between 9:30am and 11:00pm on weekdays and at any time on weekends and bank holidays, however some local authorities may have extended time periods when your pass can be used - you should check with your local authority as to when you can travel using your pass, but know that the minimum is the above.
