Boost ticket verification FAQs

Why do I need to be verified?

Verification helps us ensure that only customers who are entitled to discounted travel can buy the correct tickets when travelling.

What types of ID can I use to get verified?

You can use:
Passport
Birth certificate
PASS accredited ID card (eg. Citizencard)
Valid student / university ID card

How long does it take to get verified?

Verification can take up to 48 hours, however, usually only takes a few hours during normal office hours.

Do I need to be verified to use Boost tickets purchased before June 1?

Any Boost tickets purchased bought before June 1 will not require verification to activate or use

I need to travel, but am still waiting to be verified

Whilst waiting to be verified you will need to buy Boost tickets from the driver (you may be asked for ID if you appear to be over 18) or alternatively purchase an adult ticket on the app.

Can I still buy Boost tickets on the bus without being verified?

Yes – Boost tickets will remain available to purchase from the driver, but the driver may still ask you to prove your age or educational status if you appear to be over 18.

My identification was rejected, how can I appeal?

What happens to my Boost tickets when my verified status ends?

When your account is no longer verified, you will not be able to use or activate the tickets. Please contact customer service [email protected] to discuss a refund in line with our policy outlined in our Terms and Conditions here.
