Park and Ride fares

We serve four park and ride sites - Mereoak, Thames Valley, Winnersh Triangle and Coppid Beech. You can find all your fares for these buses below.

change to park & ride promotional fare from Monday 1 June

The special park and ride return fare will increase to £4 from the current fare of £3.50 from 1 June. This is due to changes to the funding for this discounted fare from Reading Borough Council using money from the Bus Service Improvement Partnership (BSIP) funding from HM Government. No other fares are being increased despite recent rises in fuel prices.

£4 return fares (including parking)

We've agreed a special offer with Reading Borough Council of park & ride returns for just £4 for a limited period. Simply ask the driver for a £4 return as you board. On buses from Winnersh and Mereoak, this £4 fare also includes parking too!

hospital park & ride 300

Running Monday to Friday between 6am and 7pm, our hospital park & ride 300 service links the Royal Berkshire Hospital with the Mereoak and Thames Valley park & ride sites. For timetables and a route map, click here. 

Winnersh park & ride 500

Running Mondays to Saturdays, our Winnersh park & ride 500 service provides a fast and frequent connection to Central Reading up to every 15 minutes during the day. For timetables and a route map, click here. You can also use our lion 4 / 4a route when returning from Reading after the last Winnersh park & ride 500 service of the day. 

Mereoak park & ride 600

Our mereoak park & ride 600 service provides a fast and frequent connection to Central Reading up to every 15 minutes during the day. For timetables and a route map, click here.

lion 4 / 4a

Running daily, our lion 4 / 4a services provide a fast and frequent connection to Wokingham town centre and Bracknell town centre up to every 15 minutes during the day. For timetables and a route map, click here.

car parking charges

At Mereoak and Winnersh, parking is included in our £4 return ticket. 

At each site, there is a nominal parking charge. This is included in the price of some products and tickets. If your ticket does not include parking, you will need to buy parking separately from either the driver at Mereoak and Winnersh or from a machine at Thames Valley and Coppid Beech. These are:

• Mereoak - included in our £4 return ticket.
• Thames Valley - £1 per hour capped at £4 (purchase from the machines provided)
• Winnersh Triangle - included in our £4 return ticket.
• Coppid Beech -  £1.50 for up to 4 hours, £3.00 for over 4 hours (purchase from the machines provided)

Concessionary pass holders

If you have a concessionary 'free' bus pass, you can use the buses for free (according to the terms of the local authority that you are travelling in), but you must buy a parking ticket from the driver at the price stated above.

All the fares below are fares from the park & ride to Central Reading or the Royal Berkshire Hospital. If you are travelling elsewhere or coming from Reading to Mereoak, other fares may apply.

group tickets - any 4 people

up to 4 people travelling together - unlimited day travel for any combination of adults & children. £6.50 off peak after 9.30am and all day weekends and public holidays. £10.80 at all other times. This fare does not include parking. 

parksaver

Parksaver tickets have now been discontinued, however you may find our easysaver 10 product offers great value. 

EasySaver 10

10 single trips bought together for cheaper - £20. This saves you £1 per trip (versus the on-bus single fare) and is perfect if you just go into Reading and back. Available on our mobile app, or on smartcard. Tickets on the app are valid for a year from the date you buy them. 

from Thames Valley park&ride

All the fares below are fares from the park & ride to the Royal Berkshire Hospital or Christchurch Green (for the University of Reading).

These tickets are valid on the lion 4/4a from Reading should you wish to return later than the last Winnersh Triangle park&ride 500 bus.

family 5 ticket

up to 3 adults and 2 children travelling together can purchase a special family 5 ticket priced at £9. Please note this ticket does not include parking. 

Coppid Beech park&ride

for journeys to Wokingham or Bracknell

Fares do not include parking which needs to be purchased at the machines before travelling.

family 5 ticket
