Woodley’s bus services have changed

Since 11th January Reading Buses has been operating a revised network of services for the Woodley area.

The main services between Woodley and Central Reading via Kings Road are Premier Routes 13 and 14 (also 12 and 13a).  The new services are designed to provide regular direct links from the main locations in Woodley to central Reading.

In Reading we have made the route to Reading Station much quicker than before and buses now go direct from Kings Road to Blagrave Street where the stop (FW) is close to Marks and Spencer in Friar Street.

Click here for town centre map.

Outbound buses to Woodley now depart from Blagrave Street (FW) and pick up as usual at Jackson’s Corner.

There is a different service in the evenings and early on Sunday mornings.  This is the 13A which is a circular service, covering the same route as the previous 64 service.

New service 19 via Royal Berkshire Hospital

Our new 19 service offers two main facilities for Woodley residents:

It operates an hourly service Monday to Saturday between Woodley and the University of Reading, Royal Berkshire Hospital and central Reading.

It operates a half-hourly daytime off-peak loop Monday to Saturday serving: Woodley centre (Silver Fox Crescent), Crockhamwell Road, right into Drovers Way and Coppice road, right into Comet Way, left into Hurricane Way to Woodley Piazza then via Headley Road East and Headley Road to Lytham Road.  It then goes back into Crockhamwell Road and goes round the whole loop again before going to central Reading via Royal Berkshire Hospital.
