The cost of a Busabout fare on a Sunday is to be slashed by more than 28% to encourage more people to leave their car at home and travel by bus.
We have reduced the Sunday Busabout adult fare in the Reading urban area to £2.50 with effect from Sunday 17 January. Up to two children will be able travel free.
We provide a good Sunday service in the Reading urban area and with the new Sunday Busabout deal it will be cheaper to go by bus than take the car out.
The adult Busabout is being cut by £1 per adult to £2.50 and the child Busabout fare of £1.90 is being cut altogether when travelling with a paying adult – a total saving for a family of four of £4.80 - that's fantastic!
This offer is available every Sunday up to and including Easter Sunday 4 April.

A special fare of £1.20 – saving 50p a journey – has been introduced for the new no.19 service for journeys between the University’s Whiteknights and Bulmershe Campuses.
The service, created by Reading Buses following discussions with the University and Reading University Students Union, will provide an hourly direct link between the main campus and the Bulmershe Campus.
We have listened to the requests of students and the University for a direct campus-to-campus link and we hope they will support the new service which we launced on 11January 2010.
We have reduced the fare to encourage usage and will review the take-up when the special offer ends on Easter Sunday 4 Apri.
Denise Shearman, Head of Campus Services, said: “The University is delighted that recent discussions between Reading Buses and the University and RUSU has led to a new regular bus service linking our Bulmershe and Whiteknights campuses. The 19 service will offer students an tailor made service between their accommodation and academic studies.”
