A Scheduler with a difference!

c.£30k depending on experience and skills

As one of Reading’s largest employers with 520 employees, our 170 buses deliver 54,600 passenger journeys each day. Reading has recently risen to be the third highest bus using population in the country outside of London and has a strong and mature economy with hi-tech industries and the creative sector contributing significantly to its success.

With Reading’s brand new railway station, electrification, Crossrail, new Park & Rides and our ongoing investment in the latest buses and technology, the region is on the cusp of a transport revolution and we’re looking for a Scheduler to be an integral part of it!

This is more than your average schedules role. Working as a key part of our network planning and commercial team, you’ll harness the latest planning and customer technologies and work in partnership with our stakeholders to deliver efficient and innovative operations to ensure that our resources are deployed to meet the growing customer and economic needs of Reading and beyond.

Previous experience of compiling schedules is essential, ideally using the Omnibus systems range as well as excel for further analysis and reporting. The role also has the potential to assist with wider commercial developments and progress into our management team.

For further information or to submit an application (CV and covering letter) please email caroline.anscombe@reading-buses.co.uk.

The closing date for applications is Friday 10th July 2015.
