Realistic timetables and schedules are a key part of the commercial success of this business. In order to continually improve our performance in this area we have created a post for a Schedules Manager and we are now looking for a suitable candidate for this role.
The responsibilities include:
• The creation and production of timetables and schedules right through the critical path process from end to end ensuring that all key indicators are met
• Managing cost efficiency of the schedules and to budget
• Managing the process of timetable registration
• Managing internal customer relationships
• Negotiating schedules with the Trade Union
• Managing all ancillary documentation and record keeping
We are looking for someone with a thorough understanding of scheduling and timetabling and who can demonstrate a track record of successfully working in a similar environment.
The successful candidate will be methodical and meticulous in attention to detail, who is able to find different ways of problem solving in a scheduling context. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills and have an understanding of the real world of running a bus service.
