simplyUni is our dedicated smartcard ticket range for staff and students of the University of Reading. It offers the best value fares and has a range to suit all regular travellers.
We currently have three simplyUni products for you to choose from:
simplyUni annual £399 - this product is simply the best value for someone who travels all year round. You can buy it at any point during the year and it will give you 365 days of unlimited travel on all our buses within the simplyReading boundary.
simplyUni academic year £297 - this product is great for people who only live in Reading during the academic year. It starts from the first day of University and lasts until the final day of the summer term - including all holiday periods inbetween! It gives you unlimited travel on all our buses within the simplyReading boundary.
simplyUni term £99 - For people who live in the now! This fantastic product allows you to travel on all our buses within the simplyReading area during the term selected. Priced at just £99, this allows you to budget on a term-by-term basis.

We realise that some people only need to use our services occasionally and don't need a simplyUni card. Well fear not! You can still be travel smart by taking advantage of the following options!
This is a 10 trip smartcard that gives you 10 single journeys for better than the price of 9! Pay just £16 and you get a smartcard with 10 single journeys pre-loaded onto it. They are stored until you need them - if you don't use them, they don't disappear! And with our new online top-up facility, its even easier to use the bus!
This smartcard is free to obtain and is a stored value card. This means you can load money onto it before you get on the bus and then use it as cash - this means you never have to worry about having the right change again! You can buy and top-up this card online - and the money is stored on your card until you use it!
We operate a standard flat fare of £1.80 for an adult single journey across the simplyReading area (click here for details of the boundary) making it easy for you to know how much your fare will be! simplyReading Day ticket - just £4! This ticket gives you unlimited travel all day on all our buses within the simplyReading area. It can be bought on the bus and used all day, as many times as you like!
simplyReading Group ticket - Up to 4 people can travel all day in and around Reading for just £8.00. Or why not take advantage of the £5.00 price after 7pm during the evenings and all day on weekends, public and school holidays?
