Roadside Publicity Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated person to help keep the Reading Buses network looking amazing. You’ll support our Roadside Publicity Officer to maintain the information and branding across our network of bus stops – over 1500 of them!

Our customers are really important to us and that’s why it’s key that they are always kept in the loop. We pride ourselves on maintaining great information and keeping them informed. You’ll be a key part of ensuring that information is up to date for customers – whether posting new timetables, fares or roadworks information.

You’ll have a full, clean, driving licence (a PCV licence would be a bonus but is not essential) as you’ll be driving the company van around our network. You’ll also be able to stay motivated working on your own or as part of the Marketing team.

We need someone who is good at picking thing up – you will be expected to work on software to help create bus stop timetables, print display and notices and give information about the network.

The majority of your time will be spent around the network so we want to hear from people who don’t mind working outside. You might be installing a timetable in Wokingham one minute and then putting up a vinyl on a bus stop flag in Tilehurst the next. Each day will be different.

We’d love someone with a good knowledge of our network, but even if you don’t we can teach you!

  • Salary of £26k
  • Primarily Monday to Friday office hours working (there will be expectations of some weekend working around service changes.)
