£1 return fares on our park & ride services

We’re excited to announce that from Monday 19 August, we’re offering £1 return journeys on all of our park&ride services – Hospital park&ride 300, the newly returned Winnersh Triangle park&ride 500 and Mereoak park&ride 600 / 650.

For customers parking at Mereoak or Winnersh park&ride sites; this special £1 fare also includes car parking for the day too. Customers using Hospital park&ride 300 from Thames Valley park&ride will still need to buy parking at the machine as usual - however your journey on the bus will be £1 return.

This new fare has been made possible by Reading Borough Council using money from the Bus Service Improvement Partnership (BSIP) funding from HM Government. The £1 return fare will be available for the first 50,000 journeys from Monday 19 August until they are all used – we will alert customers before this amount is reached.

Which park & ride site do I need?

Coming from the South & West

Use Mereoak park & ride. Conveniently located just off junction 11 of the M4. Use post code RG7 1PB.

Coming from the East

Use Winnersh Triangle park & ride, located at Winnersh Triangle rail station. Use the post code RG41 5RD

For the Hospital (from East, South and West)

Use the Hospital park & ride, located at both Mereoak park & ride site (RG7 1PB) and Thames Valley Park (RG6 1PT). Please note, if parking at Thames Valley park & ride site, you will need to pay for your parking at the machine before boarding the bus.

To take advantage of this offer, simply board one of our park&ride buses at Mereoak, Winnersh or Thames Valley park&ride sites and ask the driver for a return ticket.
