Apprenticeship Bodyshop Technicians

We are looking for perfectionists who can help keep our fleet of modern buses looking as good as new.

We’re offering an apprenticeship place at our Thames Valley Bodyworks business based in Finchampstead, Wokingham. You’ll be working on our fleet of vehicles learning how to remove, repair and refit damaged body panels; doing surface preparation; and painting to a high standard of finish.

The apprenticeship is a full-time role 38 hours a week Monday – Friday, initially starting at 06:00 and 09:00 on a rotating shift basis. Pay starts at £9.21p/hr in the first year, rising as you progress each year. A qualified vehicle bodyshop technician can earn over £40k per year.

We’re looking for 8 GCSEs at grade A-C or equivalent, and a genuine interest in vehicles, engineering and customer service.

Apprenticeship Mech/Elec Technicians

We are looking for the problem-solvers of tomorrow who can combine a curiosity about how things work with an interest in using the latest technology.

We’re offering two apprenticeship places at Reading Buses based at our modern depot and workshop in central Reading. You’ll be working on the latest gas and diesel vehicles, learning to service, repair and diagnose problems with mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring our vehicles are safe and reliable for our customers and staff.

The apprenticeship is a full-time role 38 hours a week Monday – Friday, initially starting at 06:00 and 09:00 on a rotating shift basis. Pay starts at £9.21p/hr in the first year, rising as you progress each year.  A qualified vehicle technician can earn over £40k per year.

We’re looking for 8 GCSEs at grade A-C or equivalent, and a genuine interest in vehicles, engineering and customer service.

Apprenticeship Parts & stock controller

We are looking for a bright person to become a vehicle parts and supply chain apprentice based at our depot and workshop facility in central Reading.  This part of our business is key to making sure our fleet of modern buses are ready for service every day.

You’ll be buying parts for our vehicles, controlling what we hold in stock and supporting a £4m ‘business within a business’. Our fleet has the latest gas and diesel vehicles and you’ll be working with the technical team to ensure they have the right parts when they need them, and to the right price and quality.

The apprenticeship is a full-time role 38 hours a week Monday – Friday, initially starting at 06:00 and 09:00 on a rotating shift basis. Pay starts at £9.21p/hr in the first year, rising as you progress each year.  A qualified stock controller can earn around £36k per year.

We’re looking for 8 GCSEs at grade A-C or equivalent, and a genuine interest in vehicles, engineering and customer service.
