An adult Busabout is simply an unlimited travel ticket for Reading Buses services. Normally a Busabout is for an adult but with this offer a child can travel free with each aduly buying a Busabout. A family Busabout is unlimited travel ticket for up to two adults and two children or one adult and up to three children. This is valid on Reading Buses services between 9.00am and 4.00pm Mondays to Fridays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays). The small print: Reading Busabouts are not valid on Football Services (Services 70 - 79 inclusive), Nighttrack services, Daytrack and Fasttrack. What areas do Reading Busabouts cover?
A Reading Busabout covers the Greater Reading Urban area. This is the area covered by our Premier Route services and is bounded by the stops at Peppard Road (Rose Hill/Tower Close), Henley Road County Boundary, Sonning Halt, Sonning (Fire Station), Loddon Bridge (The George), Shinfield (Black Boy), Three Mile Cross (Post Office) and Ryeish Green School, Burghfield Road (Railway Bridge), Savacentre and Purley Post Office.
What age children travel free?
Children under 5 years old travel for free on all our bus services. One child (between the ages of 5 and 15) per adult can travel free with the Sunday Busabout. Children aged 16, 17 and 18 can also travel for free on the Sunday Busabout as long as they are in full time education and in posession of a READI-id card. A family busabout includes up to three children when travelling with one adult or up to two children if travelling with two adults.
