If you have lost something on one of our buses we will do our best to ensure the safe return of any lost property.
Personal belongings are carried at all times at the customer’s own risk. We will not be liable for any loss or damage however it may arise in respect of such belongings and in particular we will not accept liability for the loss, theft or damage of any items left unattended by the customer.
If another passenger leaves something on the bus, please check if anyone knows the person's name. For everyone's safety please wait until the bus stops at a bus stop and then inform the driver and give the item to him or her for safe keeping.
Lost property, if recovered, is held for 30 days at the Reading Transport depot at the address below. Perishable items will be disposed of after 48 hours. Any item which becomes objectionable may be disposed of immediately. Please phone and give as much information as possible about what you lost, when and where. We will do our best to return your property to you.

If you lose an item on a Newbury Buses vehicle, please telephone 01635 567500 between 0900 and 1500 on Mondays to Fridays (except Public Holidays) or visit the Travel Shop at Newbury Bus Station between the same times.
