Sunday Super Saver ticket for Sunday Bus Users
04 Mar 2008
Buses every 7/8 minutes each Sunday along the Oxford Road – that’s the new service introduced by Reading Buses! And there are improved Sunday services (twice as many buses per hour!) on the routes to Lower Earley, Woodley, Dee Park and Purley. Shoppers are getting back on buses in response to rising parking costs, increasing congestion and soaring fuel prices, leaving themselves more cash to splash in the shops. A new report from the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) reveals a boom in bus use which is helping to lift gloom on the high street. To help Reading’s Sunday shoppers, Reading Buses have introduced a Sunday super saver offer for March, April and May 2008. An adult Reading Busabout is now just £2, giving unlimited travel all Sunday and one child can go free with each adult. James Freeman, Chief Executive Officer commented: ‘Sunday travel has recently been refreshed with new buses and improved timetables. Premier Routes 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 63 and 64, all have more journeys than ever before. So with one-third off the normal price this is excellent value for shoppers and families wanting a quick and easy way to get around Reading. Happy shopping!’ For full details visit www.reading-buses.co.uk/offers.
