Royal County of Berkshire Show 2017

The annual Royal County of Berkshire Show is back again! The event takes place at the Newbury Showground on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September - and we can take you there!

The show is a celebration of agricultural life, set over 150 acres of land so you are sure to find lots of things to keep you entertained.

What's on?

The Devils Horsemen will be returning to the show with their Cossack display of breath-taking, high energy acrobatics on horseback!

Keen-eyed people will recognise the riders, and their horses, from film and TV - with credits such as the Lloyds Bank commercials featuring the famous Black Horse, Game of Thrones, Sky Sports Formula 1 Promotion, the blockbuster hit Wonder Woman and the latest Transformers movie, The Last Knight.

There's also all the usual entertainment, as well as a great mix of food stalls, craft stalls and games! There really is something for everyone at the show, so it's well worth a visit.

Below is just a small list of some of the things to see or do:

  • Fun fair
  • Cookery Theatre
  • Craft Marquee
  • Farrier display
  • Hot Air balloons
  • Livestock displays and parade
  • Sports Zone

And there's much, much more! For more information about the show and to buy tickets, visit www.berkshireshow.co.uk

Buses to the show

We are again running our special N10 shuttle from Thatcham Broadway via Newbury Bus Station to the show. This allows you to hop on the bus at any of the stops along the route to get you to the attractions - without having to change bus in Newbury if you are coming from Thatcham!

Buses run every half an hour running Thatcham to Newbury Bus Station via the A4 (not via Turnpike) and then direct on to the show via the A339. From around 2.30pm buses will run direct from Thatcham to the show, coming back along the A339 to Newbury Bus Station before returning to Thatcham along the A4.

Connect from Reading and beyond!

You can also use our bus network from elsewhere to get you to and from the show. Our jet black 1 service runs between Reading and Newbury via Thatcham, so there's plenty of time to connect to the N10 to the show.

Buy a simplyNetwork day ticket and you can travel all day from anywhere on our network and connect to the N10.
