Reading to Hartley Wintney & Fleet

As you may have heard from our previous announcement, we are delighted to confirm that from Monday 16 April, we will be running the route 7 between Reading and Fleet via Hartley Wintney. We reached an agreement with Stagecoach South to take over this section of the route, with them still operating the section between Hartley Wintney and Aldershot.

Some of you will already know that we had already been supporting route 7 with our Wokingham Borough Council contracted evenings and weekends route 7 between Reading and Riseley.

We have now finalised the full route and timetable and you can check out the details below!

Amended route

To take into account the fact that we will now be running all journeys via Fleet station, we have amended the route ever so slightly in the Fleet area to that of Stagecoach's previous operation. Our buses will no longer go into Elvetham Heath or Edenbrook, but will instead stay on the main A323 road to Fleet.

In Reading, only journeys that run on schooldays will use Kendrick Road, with all other journeys using Southampton Street towards Reading and Silver Street on the way out of Reading.

You can check out the full route map here

New timetable

We have also designed a new timetable to help establish our operation of the route - although this is only a minor change to what was already operating for the most part. We have ensured that there is plenty of time between for people to connect with Stagecoach's route 7 in Hartley Wintney to allow through travel.

fares and ticketing

The fares for this route are now finalised. There will be the usual singles and returns which will also allow through travel in both directions between our service and Stagecoach's.

Existing Stagecoach season tickets will continue to be accepted by us until their expiry.

Beyond Three Mile Cross, route 7 will be part of our ‘Simply Network’ fare zone with seven day tickets available for £20 and 30 day tickets for £75 (£16 and £61 for 18 & under) both online and on our smartphone app.
