January timetable changes

A New Year brings new ideas and it's no different here at Reading Buses! We have been looking through some of our timetables and are taking the opportunity to make them even better!

The table below shows you the at a glance of what is changing. Full timetables are now available online.

None of the timetables have changed their frequency, but you might need to check what time your bus will leave your stop from January 2 though! As the 2 January is a public holiday, the services below will begin their timetables from their new public holiday times where applicable. Most of the routes have not changed their public holiday times, but it's better to check and be safe!

major changes to orange routes in Woodley

The big news is that we have taken on board feedback for the orange routes and revised the timetable to give buses more time to complete their journey. This should improve the performance of these routes in Woodley.
We are also trialling evening buses on orange 13 running until around 3am - perfect to get you back from 'social' nights in town!

yellow goes 24/7

All yellow 26 customers can also rejoice as their bus now becomes one of our 'up all day and all night' routes running 24/7! This new development also sees the overnight service using its normal route for every journey (currently the last three night journeys use the Bath Road to return to Reading.)

town centre bus stop changes - claret and yellow 26

To make things easier, we have changed a couple of the bus stops for claret customers in the town centre - one of which will also affect yellow 26 customers. The Friar Street stop FH will no longer be used by claret services, instead the buses will stop just round the corner at West Street CU (outside the old Primark store).
We are also merging the stops outside the station (EJ and EK) to make one 'mega-stop' - which means claret and yellow 26 customers should all now queue from stop EK as buses will pull forward to that stop when space is available.

minor tweaks for school bus LH1

There are also some very minor tweaks to LH1 - which may move the time the bus gets to your stop by a minute. Click here for the new timetable or visit our silverstars site
