The cost of a Busabout fare on a Sunday is to be slashed by more than 28% to encourage more people to leave their car at home and travel by bus.
We are reducing the Sunday Busabout adult fare in the Reading urban area to £2.50 with effect from Sunday 17 January. Up to two children will travel free.
Said Nikki Honer, Marketing and Public Relations Manager of Reading Buses: “We provide a good Sunday service in the Reading urban area and with the new Busabout deal it will be cheaper to go by bus than take the car out.
“The adult Busabout is being cut by £1 per adult to £2.50 and the child Busabout fare of £1.90 is being cut altogether when travelling with a paying adult – a total saving for a family of four of £4.80.”
She added that the new Sunday Busabout fare in the Reading urban area would run until Easter Sunday April 4.
